M-Cup Group Stage Wrap Up

4 already booked their places in the q-finals, and yesterday, 4 lagi berjaya layakkan diri to the q-finals. The 8 teams are NS Naza, Terengganu, TM FC, Penang E&O, Perlis, Sarawak, Perak & MPPJ. Congrats to them. The 1st leg of the q-finals will be played this coming Saturday.

However, I'm really sad with the commentators during the live telecast yesterday yang disiarkan menerusi RTM2 & TV9. The RTM2 commentator said something like this, "Perlis & Sarawak sudah pasti mencongak untuk mengelak daripada bertemu Selangor di suku akhir nanti." There's 2 points from that statement that I don't like at all! 1st, the commentator's mentality. Even though both teams already qualified to the q-finals, both teams still hungry for a victory. All teams play to win, right? 2nd, the 'Selangor' factor. Yup, Selangor is the most successful team in our local football history. But, the current Selangor team? I don't think Perlis or Sarawak need to be afraid, they finished last in the Super League!! Kita tukar pula ke TV9, the commentator said, "Saya berdoa agar Selangor layak ke suku akhir, seterusnya berjaya mempertahankan kejuaraan Piala Malaysia." Yeah, another 'Selangor' factor thingy! He pray for Selangor??!! Yes he can if he is Selangor's fan, but not as a commentator. As a commentator, he shouldn't be bias to any team!!! Come on, be professional!!!!!!!
