Italy Beat Germany
2 goals from Grosso & Del Piero carried Italy to the WC 2006 Final. Both goals were scored late in the extra time. Grosso scored the 1st goal in the 119th minute. His curling left-footed shot past the despairing dive of Lehmann from the right side of the penalty box. The 2nd goal was scored by Del Piero when he beat Lehmann from close range in added time at the end of the extra time. Maybe at that time the Germans were already thinking of how could they beat the Azzuri. To be fair to the Germans, they also played well. The match was actually evenly-matched, hard to predict who will go through to the WC Final. After a 90 minutes of hard fought contest, it was still 0-0. Even in the extra time, the action became more entertaining. But in the end, it is the Azzuri who march on to the finale. Although it was Italy who won the match but the Germans should be proud of their achievement. Remember, most of us, including me myself, didn't expecting anything superb came from this young Germany side. They showed they able to reach the s-final! Kudos to both teams since they played very well with both skill & spirit throughout the whole match. An entertaining match! Kudos again!!
Another s-final match will be play today, Portugal versus France. We will see Figo vs Zidane, Pauleta vs Henry, Ronaldo vs Ribery, Deco vs Vieira, Costinha vs Makelele, Ricardo vs Barthez. It's tough to predict who will win...Slight mistake may cause the ticket to the finale.
Yesterday's result:
World Cup (Semi-Final): Germany 0 Italy 2 (a.e.t.)
Today's schedule:
World Cup (Semi-Final): Portugal vs France
