Who Knows...

Continue from yesterday's entry: "Who knows..." And it really showed that anything can happen selagi the race didn't end. Even Rossi 'The Doctor' made mistakes. In yesterday's Valencia GP race, the last & deciding race of the season, Rossi fell on lap 5 which secara tak langsung handed Hayden the world championship. Lucky Hayden, a bit harsh finale for Rossi. And don't forget, the winner is Troy Bayliss. He led from start to finish for a fairytale victory on his 1-off MotoGP return.

Yet another victory for Federer..and Maria Sharapova. I'm a Federer's fan but his domination make men's tennis a bit boring, true or not?

R & R

Tak..I don't wanna talk about tempat rehat & rawat (R & R) PLUS tu. The 1st 'R' actually stands for Rooney. Selepas kemarau gol seketika, Rooney terus mencipta hattrick dlm kemenangan 4-0 MU ke atas Bolton semalam. Before that game, ramai yg mengkritik Rooney yg mempamerkan aksi krg menyerlah. Biasa la kan..kejap di atas, kejap di bwh. Cam Rooney ni, off-form kejap, tup2 terus hattrick. Cayalah!!!

The 2nd 'R' stands for Rossi. The MotoGP Championship will be decided today in Valencia, either Rossi or Hayden will be the champion. On paper, clearly Rossi has the advantage. But who knows..

Salam Aidilfitri

I guess masih belum terlambat tuk ucapkan salam aidilfitri buat semua muslimin & muslimat di seluruh pelosok dunia especially yg di Malaysia. For me & my family, aidilfitri kali ni mmg betul2 sederhana, krg persiapan, krg shopping, lbh relax. Tapi, sambutan aidilfitri tetap meriah especially the 1st 2 days of hari raya. Tetamu dtg bertimpa-timpa dari pagi sampai le ke malam. Mmg penat la tapi tetamu kan membawa rezeki & rahmat ke rumah kita, betul tak? Alhamdulillah..it is 1 of the nicest aidilfitri I ever had.

Dah agak lama gak aku x update this blog. Why? 2 reasons. 1st, I sent my PC to get it 'cleaned'. Basuh jgn x basuh! Bknnye aku x reti, cuma installers je kureng sket, byk yg dah outdated, so lbh senang hantar kat kedai. The 2nd reason, of course lah raya! Busy beb!!!

So, apa yg aku terlepas?? Haaa..the F1 championship. Alonso wins! Renault wins! A mixed emotion really since I'm not a Schumi's fan, but it is his last race & F1 lost 1 of its attraction. He is a great racer & I'm glad to see him retired safely. Safely? Remember the great Ayrton Senna?! So, for the next season, it will be a fresh season. Without Schumi, I don't think Alonso is the clear favourite unless McLaren able to solve their reliability problem. Ferrari looks strong with Kimi-Massa lineup. But not only Schumi, they also lost Ross Brawn, the master tactician. So, how about Renault? Their 2 drivers not promising enough..

It's Elias?!!!

Toni Elias won the Portuguese GP to mark his 1st ever MotoGP podium finish in style. He edged out Valentino Rossi on the finish line by just 0.002s. It was a spirited race shown by Elias from the start though Rossi who was leading most of the time. Seeing he sliding his rear tyre almost at every corner, I didn't really confident Elias' tyres will last until the final lap. Hey, I was wrong. Salute to Elias! For Rossi, he had the consolation of taking the lead in the overall standing for the 1st time this season with only the season-ending Valencia GP on October 29 to come. He lead Hayden by 8 points. Pity Hayden who crashed with his teammate, Pedrosa. I would say it was a silly mistake by Pedrosa, too competetive at the wrong time with the wrong opponent.. Overall, it was a very exciting race with the underdogs shone. The final result itself showed, no Hayden, Pedrosa, Melandri & Capirossi in the top 5.

A Pleasant Morning

Hmmm...a pleasant Sunday morning. MU, Lyon & Celtic all won yesterday, great! Today, waiting for the MotoGP race. If you ask me, I like to see Melandri & Pedrosa in the top 2 with Capirex finish in 3rd. Why? So that they 3 can close in to Hayden & Rossi. As a result, we will have pertandingan 5 penjuru for this season championship. Nyum..nyum..

Terkezut?

The Euro 2008 qualifying round matches had been held in the last several days. From the results, there were several 'shocking' results. Shocking ke? Kejutan sangat ke? Alahai...takat kekalahan England & Spain dah biasa dah. Media massa always kecoh pasal kekalahan depa ni. Why? Even Brazil kalah pun tak kecoh. Kalau on paper, Lampard & Gerrard in 1 squad, it will be a dream pair in midfield. Tapi setakat ni, still tak menjadi. Ntah kenapa..

I Like!!!!!

How many time did you see Michael Schumacher's F1 car berasap? Jarang sgt kann.. But yesterday it happened, on the day yg very important to both Michael & Alonso. I myself couldn't believe what I saw. Was it really Michael's? or it was Massa's? It was Michael's!!! Senyum lebar aku. As a result, Alonso won & now 10 points ahead of Michael. Going to the last GP in Brazil in a fortnight time, Alonso only needs to get 1 point to retain his title. For Michael, he needs to win & prays that Alonso won't get any point there. For now, it looks like kemungkinan besar Alonso will be this season champion. Tapi harus diingat...things happen.. In Shanghai, Renault looked great but Ferrari won. In Suzuka, Ferrari looked great but Renault won. So, aku tak berani nak kata Alonso confirm will be the champion, Michael still has a chance.

More great news came from Brno, Czech Republic where Alex Yoong steered Malaysia A1GP team to win both sprint & feature race. Yahooooo!!!!! The victories gave our team 17 points & currently in 3rd spot in the overall standing, behind Germany & Mexico. Hope more to come from the team...

The '2' Story

2 Ferraris in the 1st row, 2 Toyotas in the 2nd row, 2 Renaults in the 3rd row & 2 Hondas in the 4th row. That's the starting grid for today's F1 Japanese GP. Although Massa took the pole position, Michael is still a happy man. He will start just where he wanted & with Alonso where he’d have liked him to be. If Michael wins today's race while Alonso doesn't score any point, Michael will clinch a record 8th world championship title. So, it will a tough race for Alonso. Even tougher for Kimi who will start in the 11th spot. Hope Michael doesn't win the race while the McLarens & the BMWs will produce some surprises!

In the A1GP, Alex Yoong will start today's sprint race in the 3rd spot. Bravo!!! Hope he & Malaysia's A1 team can get many points from both race, the sprint & the feature race.

Raining, But It Wasn't Renault

Looking at the starting grid formation & the wet track, it looked like it would be a day for the Renault's guys. But, it was Michael who won the F1 Chinese GP yesterday. Bukan nak perkecilkan kehebatan Ferrari, tapi I would say that it was all about luck. Yeah right..Renault salah strategi semasa Alonso's 1st pit-stop. Tapi, semasa his 2nd pit-stop, a sticking right rear wheel nut cost him at least 7s. For me, it was crucial sebab if I'm not mistaken, Michael lead Alonso in the last lap by just over 6s. OK.. enough about Alonso & Michael. Lets talk about BMW-Sauber team. It looked so promising before the 1st pit-stop where both Heidfeld & Kubica were in the top 5. I still don't know why the team took a gamble to switch Kubica's to slick tyres...Come on!! You are in the top 5, play safe lahhh!!! Pity Kubica... Pity jugak kat Heidfeld who had been hit by Barrichello in the last lap. It wasn't Rubens' fault, in fact, it was Sato & Albers fault. Sato tu, boleh la plak dia masuk blk dlm racing line..ish.. Dah jadi backmarkers tu, jgn la kacau org lain, pi main jauh2!! As a conclusion for this F1 Chinese GP, an entertaining race but its result wasn't that I'm hoping for..

Start Your Engine!

Yesterday saw a quite interesting qualifying session. Ferrari's weakness was exposed in the Shanghai's rain. Michael looked struggling even to make to the top 10. Lucky him, he succeed to take 6th position. It was a different story at Renault camp. It will be an all-Renault front row with Alonso took the pole position while Fisichella will be beside him. Overall, it showed Michelin was a better tyre in the wet condition. With more rain likely today, it will be another great day for Michelin-shod teams. I hope so...

Beside F1, don't forget about another racing championship - A1GP. A1GP will start the new season today at Zandvoort, Holland. We will see whether team France, the champion, will dominate the championship as the last season or whether there will be a very hard-fought season. Team Malaysia, 5th last season, will be hoping to do better. They will start the sprint race today in 11th position.

In squash, our women's team lost to Egypt 1-2 in the s-final. Nicol David gave the only point by beating Omneya Abdel Kawy - 9-8, 9-0, 9-0. Both Sharon Wee & Tricia Chuah lost to their respective opponent by straight set. Malaysia will play against Holland to decide for the 3rd place.
